Today we started making our own nativity set. We made Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus. Tomorrow we will be making an angel and a star. We will have a decorated shoe box to keep our sets in and we will be able to retell the Christmas Story.

Maths Problem Solving
Today we had to use our clever maths thinking to help us solve a problem with jam sandwiches. Two children needed to share a sandwich, how could we cut it evenly? We worked out there were three ways to cut it - horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Then we all got to enjoy eating some jam sandwiches. Yum yum!

Junior Athletics Sports
Today we participated in the Junior Athletics Sports. It was really hot but we had a great time showing our friends and families all the clever things we could do. Then we did the sprints - even the Mum's, Dad's and preschoolers ran. We enjoyed a picnic lunch together at the end.
Hermit Crab Chalk Drawing
Today Mrs Renner taught us about drawing with chalk outside. We drew these amazing Hermit Crabs based on the book by Eric Carle.

Junior A&P Show Trip
Yesterday the whole Junior School went to the A&P Show - 123 children and lots of adults. We had a great time looking and touching all sorts of really interesting things. We drew pictures today about the Show and next week we will write about it.
