Today in Junior Chapel the following children got certificates:

Caleb, Samuel, Tiffany, Isaac, Cheng-Han, Oakley and Claire.

Congratulations super duper Room AB workers! We are very proud of you.

Year 9 Buddies

Today the Year 9's came to help us with our reading and basic words. First we read our readers to the big buddies. Next we practiced writing our basic words with either chalk, paint brush and water or on the whiteboards. It was great working with some big children.

Making Crowns

Today we got to sew part of our felt crowns we are making for Visual Art. We got to work a real sewing machine! An adult helped us to make sure we sewed a straight line. The crowns are part of our learning about Queen Esther in the bible.

N is for necklaces

Today we made necklaces to help us remember the letter "n". Then we went outside and wrote the letter "n" in chalk on the concrete.

Room B celebrates...

Well Done to Abby and Luke who got certificates this week. It's great to see our wee people striving for excellence. 

Mihi Whakatau

Yesterday afternoon we had a special welcome for all the new children to ACS since the start of the year. Mr Richardson welcomed us, then the school sang a song, Manashe replied for the visitors and then the visitors sang a song, we pressed noses - hongi and then Mrs Anthony finished by praying for everyone.

T is for Toast

Today we made and ate some yummy toast - this was to help us remember the letter "t". We could have butter, jam or marmite on our toast. Yum Yum!!

Welcome Back to Term 3!

Welcome back to Term 3. This term we are learning about Castles and linking to the story of Queen Esther in the Bible.

Primary Fun Day - Wheels Day

Today was Fun Day. The children were allowed to bring a set of wheels to ride around the court.

Fortunately the weather was fine! 

It was great fun but everyone was soo tired!! 

Technology Challenges
