Room A Buddies

Today our big buddies from Room F came and helped us to make an Easter scene to remember the real meaning of Easter by. We loved working wth our buddies. We ended our time together by sharing our reading books with them. They thought we were clever readers!

Easter Cookies

Today we made Easter cookies which helped us to remember the parts of the Easter story. We put them in the oven and turned it off. Tomorrow we will see what happens to them.

Cross Country

Yesterday was the school cross country event. We had to run twice round the field circuit. It was tough for some of us but we all did a great job! At the end we had to find Mrs Phillips' in her sparkly hat and she wrote down the order we came in. We were very proud of ourselves at the end.

Autumn Walk

Today we went for a walk around the school looking for signs of Autumn. We found all sorts of interesting things including bark, walnut shells, pumpkins, and toadstools. We ended our walk by throwing lots of leaves in the air. It was lots of fun!

Easter Explore Time

Today at Big Easter Explore time we did lots of different activities related to Easter. Some were about the world view of Easter - eggs and baskets, others were related to our true Christian understanding about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. We also made hot cross buns with chocolate chips  and they were yummy to eat!

Band Concert

On Friday we went to hear the ACS Concert and Trainig Bands play for us.

Jesus Rides into Jerusalem

We acted out the story of Jesus riding the donkey into Jersusalem. Luke was Jesus and Brandon the donkey. The rest of Room A were the crowds waving and calling "hooray for Jesus!"

Room A - Things We Are Good At...

This week we have been writing about all the things we are good at. Then we chose one to publish onto an award rosette. We are very clever. Come and see them up in the discovery room.

Mrs Wishy-Washy

We have been enjoying a story about Mrs Wishy-Washy. Room A turned the book into a little play for Primary Chapel. Charlotte made a great Mrs Wishy-Washy. The children acting out the animals enjoyed rolling in the mud and then having to be washed in the tub.

Amazing Portraits

Room A has completed their protraits with Mrs Renner - they look amazing and are now up in the classroom. Come and have a look!

Congratulations!

Well done Joylyn and Charlotte who got certificates in Chapels week.

Germs! Germs! Germs!

We have been learning about how to take careof ourselves. One of the things we need to know is how to deal with a sneeze. Mrs Phillips showed us what happens when we sneeze with a spray bottle of green water - it went all over the paper - yuck!

Then we worked out how tocope with a sneeze - this is what we now know....

We need to catch a sneeze in a tissue

We need to scrunch up our tissue

Next we put the tissue in the bin

Lastly we santitise our hands

Happy Birthday Faith
